Visit to San Francisco #2: “The Streets of…”

As a child, on lazy summer afternoons, I would sometimes idle around on the living room while my mom watched The Streets of San Francisco (starring Michael Douglas… who knew?).

I don’t remember much of the show itself, but the iconic cable cars shaped whatever understanding I had of San Francisco at the time. I knew I had to go someday to see them for myself.

Those hills were steep but they were also great cardio. Imagine how determined you had to be as a detective in the 70s, traipsing about all these hills while investigating the crime du jour, but I digress.
